This page summarizes the stable user-facing flags in the coordinated release. Run each installed tool with --help or -h for its exact complete list.

c2go-clang

Flag Meaning
-fc2go Enable C2Go language extensions and Go ABI lowering
--target=<triple> Select machine architecture, OS data model, and Go ABI environment
-fc2go-package=<path> Final Go import path recorded in the artifacts; defaults to main
-fc2go-emit-plan9-asm=<file> Write Plan 9 assembly
-fc2go-emit-manifest=<file> Write the JSON export manifest
-fc2go-target-go-version=<lo-hi> Encode a supported Go version interval; upper bound is exclusive
-O0 / -O2 Select unoptimized or optimized C2Go lowering

A normal SDK invocation uses the driver, not bare -cc1:

Advanced internal knobs are passed as -mllvm -<flag>. They include extern-wrapper fallback, selective pass disabling, and cooperative loop-poll timing. Treat them as diagnostic controls rather than package API.

c2go-lto

Flag Meaning
--c2go-emit-asm=<file> Write merged Plan 9 assembly
--c2go-emit-manifest=<file> Write merged manifest
--c2go-emit-archive=<file> Pack assembly and manifest into an ar archive
--c2go-escape-nonfatal Suppress escape findings and return success; diagnosis only
--c2go-lto-inline[=0] Enable or disable cross-unit inlining
--c2go-andersen-field-sensitive Enable field-sensitive escape analysis
--c2go-escape-dedup Deduplicate escape reports
--c2go-print-stats Print pipeline statistics

Standalone c2go-lto is the release gate for stack-pointer escape: leave --c2go-escape-nonfatal off and require exit status 0. The normal Clang driver does not enforce that gate in this release. See Stack escape safety.

c2go-bind

Option Meaning
--pkgname Override when the package name differs from the manifest path base
--goname Base name for the generated Go file
--out Output directory; defaults to the current directory
--sidecar Explicit manifest for one assembly input
-l name / -L dir Link a native import and add probe directories
--extern-os Strict override: exactly unix or windows
--dry-run Print generated Go instead of writing files
--go Go command used for compatibility probing
--skip-go-probe Skip the Go contract probe; avoid in release builds
--version Print binder version

c2go-bind accepts .s files, manifests, C2Go ar archives, and multiple compatible inputs. Normal on-disk generation writes licensing records alongside the package.

--pkgname neither overrides the import path nor participates in symbol linkage. It defaults to the final segment of manifest pkgpath; set it only when the actual Go package clause differs from that default.
